About Us
Lindsey and Colin started Bearcat Turf in 2023 after receiving multiple $500+ water bills for their modest, minimal yard. They went down a rabbit hole trying to find out “why is this happening?’ and realized the prices and availability of water aren’t going down, and something needed to be done. On top of that, they spend most nights and nearly every weekend going to their boys’ sports games, so maintaining a yard isn’t something they truly have time for. However, they love to spend their limited free time in the backyard swimming, cooking, and hanging out with friends, and they wanted something beautiful and durable, so they went with turf. Combine the two and they saw a business opportunity, knowing others have to be in the same situations, either needing to limit water consumption or just want something beautiful and low maintenance for a busy life.
Colin and Lindsey were both raised in Arlington but moved to Aledo a few years ago with their two sons, Carson and Grayson, and their two doodles, Harlow and Bentley. Their favorite part about Bearcat Turf is just meeting people, talking about their backyards or projects, and getting to know various neighborhoods and communities.
